What is Business Blogging?
Business blogging is a marketing technique that uses blog posts to boost your brand's online presence.
It is important to note that when you are writing a business blog, your post is related to a precise subject matter of the business you are talking about. For example, if I am writing a post for Shopify, I will promote its services (after gaining personal experience) within my post's content. However, I will make sure it doesn't sound too 'sponsored', instead my readers should get a genuine feedback review for what I am promoting.
Your business blog post will talk about subject matters pertaining to the brand or business so that it becomes more visible on the Internet. This could refer that the brand you are writing about pops up in search engine queries, on social media websites and on other blogs as guest posts.
Business blogging is an effective way to promote a business to your target audience.
What's the difference?
Many people have personal blogs that even make money through affiliate marketing, however, business blogging is different. Business blogging is not a hobby, it is about promoting a business as a marketing channel similar to social media, email marketing or direct mailing.
Business Blogging helps a brand to grow. it does so by driving traffic to the company's website and offering prospects for that traffic to convert. Traffic for different businesses might convert differently. For example, some business target to turn their website traffic into leads for a sales team to handle, others might aim to convert traffic into clients through online purchase, but eventually, business blogging will begin conversion that will increase business.
Why Should Your Business Have a Blog?
Well, I can write a complete blog post on this. But, let's keep it brief here by defining the aim of business blogging.
Business blogging helps in making your brand an asset that people actually find it valuable. There are numerous ways people can find your website, one important way is to be found through search engines.
The more content your website has, the more changes your website have to rank in search engine results. the issue is, you do not want to fill up random pages all across your website. That would make your visitors run away (probably forever!), and your website would become a complete mess.
Business blogging is the answer to that issue.
With every post on your website, you will get a new page, some more content, more visibility, and more opportunity for your website to rank in search engine results.
So when someone Google a query related to your business keywords, hopefully, one of your blog posts will come up! (And it actually does).
You can work with this logic to other digital mediums as well. for example, every time you post a blog, it is one more prospect for someone to share that blog on social media, exposing to a new audience. It is also one more prospect for another website to link to your blog post, offering you some awesome SEO mass.
in a nutshell, business blogging is a cost-effective way to generate lots of opportunities to get your business found on the Internet, so you can create new leads and clients for your business.
Make sense? Let's do some blogging for your business!
